Calqwise is designed with your privacy in mind. Financial data you enter is stored locally on your device using local storage and is never uploaded to our servers — except when you use the AI Insights feature.
AI Insights. When you request an AI-generated financial analysis, the following data from your financial profile is sent to the Calqwise backend and forwarded to Google Gemini for processing:
This data is used solely to generate your personalized insights. It is not stored on our servers after your request is processed. Google Gemini processes this data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Calqwise API usage data is not used to train Google's AI models.
We do not collect:
CalqWise offers an optional AI Insights feature for Pro subscribers. When you use this feature, we send anonymized financial numbers to Google LLC for processing by Google's Gemini AI.
Data transmitted to Google:
What is never transmitted: your name, email address, Apple ID, or any account identifier.
Why: to generate personalized educational financial insights returned directly to you in the app.
Google's privacy practices: Google maintains its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, which governs how Google processes data submitted through the Gemini API.
Retention: data submitted through the Gemini API is not used to train Google's models and is not retained beyond the API request, subject to Google's API data usage policies.
Opt-out: this feature is entirely optional. You are shown a consent dialog before any data is transmitted. Declining returns you to the app with no data sent. The AI Insights feature is not required to use any other part of CalqWise.
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) to understand app usage and diagnose crashes. These services collect:

Calqwise offers optional Pro subscriptions ("Calqwise Pro") through the App Store and Google Play. Purchase transactions are processed by Apple or Google respectively and are subject to their privacy policies. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat may collect:

We never receive your payment card information.
Your financial inputs are stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage. Data is not backed up to our servers. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
You can delete all your data at any time from the app: Profile → Delete All Data.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. The only third-party services that receive any app data are:
Calqwise is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app contains no content directed at children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
